Predicting Future Stock Prices

During a senior year class while at the University of Michigan, I collaborated with a team, to create a machine-learning algorithm aimed at forecasting S&P 500 stock prices. We combined fundamental and technical analysis, clustering stocks based on fundamental data and then applying regression models to technical indicators. Our work highlighted certain stock clusters as more predictable than others, providing key insights into the intricacies of stock market predictability. This endeavor showcased the complexities of financial markets and the significant potential of machine learning in predicting stock price movements.
